Navigating Life's Changes
Lately, I’ve been reflecting on transitions—those pivotal moments when life shifts. Whether it’s going back to school, starting a new job, moving to a new city, or simply welcoming a new year, transitions are everywhere. They bring a mix of excitement and nerves.
As I embark on my senior year of college, I feel a whirlwind of emotions—joy, excitement, fear, and anxiety. The first week back has been filled with small adjustments. I’ve been figuring out my schedule, reconnecting with friends I hadn’t seen all summer, and re-establishing my routine. But it’s also about bigger questions: How do I want to show up this year? What routines do I want to maintain? What goals do I want to set for myself?
Setting Intentions for the Year
For me, this means keeping my space organized, staying present (even in class when it’s tough), and soaking up everything this last year has to offer—the good and the not-so-good. Transitions, whether they involve moving abroad, starting a new job, or simply finding your new favorite coffee spot, push us out of our comfort zones. They can feel awkward and uncomfortable, but they also present numerous opportunities.
These moments allow us to decide how we want to show up, what we want to change, and what we want to carry forward. Even when things seem familiar—like returning to Elon—it’s still new. A new year signifies new beginnings.
The Turbulence of Change
Transitions can sometimes feel like turbulence on an airplane—scary, overwhelming, and as if smooth flying is a distant dream. However, I promise there’s always calm air ahead. So, don’t shy away from the turbulence. Let it teach you something. Let it help you grow. Because that’s what transitions are truly about—becoming.
Finding Calm After the Storm
It’s been a while since I last wrote here. I was navigating my own turbulence. But now, I’m finally finding that calm air again. Embracing transitions can be challenging, but it’s also rewarding. Each change brings a chance to learn, adapt, and thrive.
Conclusion: Embrace the Journey
As we move through life, let’s embrace each transition. They shape us into who we are meant to be. Remember, every ending is a new beginning. So, take a deep breath and welcome the journey ahead.
